Admission Policies

WAITING POOL POLICY

First Baptist Academy reaches maximum enrollment in several grade levels and classes each year. Additional
applications for admission into closed classes are placed in a waiting pool. The following policies guide the Admissions
Committee in admitting new applicants as vacancies occur. These polices apply prior to the opening of school and after
school is in session.

  • To be considered for admission, the student’s parent/guardian must have filed an Application for Admission, paid the Application Fee and completed the testing procedure.
  • Students’ names are entered in the waiting pool for a specific grade and subject to the priorities determined by the Board of Trustees.
  • When an opening occurs in a closed class or grade level, the Admissions Committee reviews the waiting pool and selects the most qualified candidate based on the following admissions priorities:
    1. Continuing students who have enrolled for the following year by enrollment date.
    2. Children whose parents are church members with siblings currently enrolled.
    3. Children whose siblings are currently enrolled.
    4. Children whose parents are church members.
    5. Children who are currently enrolled in First Kids.
    6. Children of church and school employees.
    7. Children of NWA or FBA graduates.
    8. All other applicants.
First Baptist Academy (a Texas Non-Profit Corporation) admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all rights, privileges, programs and activities available to students at the school. It does not discriminate in admissions, administration of educational policies, scholarship and loan programs, athletics or other school-administered programs.
